When does OBSESSION launch?
July 16, 2026. The app is available for pre-order on the App Store now.
What devices does it run on?
iPhone (iOS 17 and later) and iPad. Optional Apple Vision Pro immersive mode is included. macOS support is planned for a future update.
Is it suitable for all ages?
No. OBSESSION is rated 17+ for mature themes including suggestive sensual content, frank language, references to violence and federal corruption, and on-page intimacy. The base read is rated 17+ without requiring any Premium unlock.
Do I have to pay to read the story?
No. The core 18-chapter narrative is free to read end to end. Premium scenes layer additional interior depth into chapters; the Sovereign Pass unlocks the Chapter 18 ending bundle. None of these are required to follow the mystery.
What's the Sovereign Pass?
A one-time $4.99 non-consumable purchase that unlocks all six Chapter 18 endings (one per love interest path, plus three DARK PREMIUM register-gated variants). Required to see the full conclusion of the Truckee lake-house arc.
What are Sparks?
Sparks are the in-app currency for purchasing individual Premium scenes, voicemails, and Character Interactive sessions. Available in packs from $0.99 to $199.99.
How do subscriptions work?
Obsession Premium ($4.99/mo) and VIP Pass tiers include monthly caps on Character Interactive exchanges. Caps reset at the start of each billing period. Subscriptions auto-renew until canceled in your App Store account settings; you can manage all subscriptions at Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Obsession Premium includes a 3-day free trial. After the trial, you'll be charged the monthly rate unless you cancel. Cancellation is one tap in your App Store settings.
What is Character Interactive?
An AI-powered conversation feature that lets you message Silas, Julian, or Gideon between chapters. Their responses are generated by AI based on each character's canonical voice, your accumulated Codex knowledge, and your current relationship Affinity.
Is the AI conversation safe?
All Character Interactive conversations pass through Anthropic's safety classifiers and our own moderation pipeline. Inappropriate user messages are blocked client-side before they reach the AI. Output is filtered for the same content categories.
Are my chats private?
Yes. Conversations are stored on-device and, if you enable iCloud, in your private iCloud container. We do not sell, share, or read your chat data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
How much does Character Interactive cost?
3 free intro exchanges per character (9 total, lifetime — no daily refresh). After that, purchase a session bundle starting at $0.99 for 5 exchanges, or subscribe for monthly cap allowances.
Does my progress sync between devices?
Yes, if iCloud is enabled. Your saves, choice history, Sparks balance, and Codex unlocks sync via your private iCloud container.
Can I have multiple save slots?
Yes. The Save Slot Picker supports multiple parallel saves so you can explore different paths without overwriting your main playthrough.
What's the Chapter Rewind feature?
Obsession Premium subscribers can rewind to the start of any completed chapter to make different choices without losing their main save. Available chapter-by-chapter from Chapter 1 onward.
How do I get a refund?
All refunds for in-app purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. We don't have the ability to issue refunds directly.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Settings → Privacy & Data → Delete Account. This removes all on-device data and returns you to the age-confirmation screen. iCloud-synced data is removed within 24 hours of deletion request.
Can I restore purchases on a new device?
Yes. Open the app on your new device, go to Wallet → Restore Purchases. All non-consumable purchases (Passes) restore automatically as long as you're signed into the same Apple ID. Consumable purchases (Sparks, Character Interactive bundles) do not restore.
